I have tried running a cronjob to reboot the device every 5 mins, and hadn't been able to get it to freeze after 25 times, so I assume it is related to the amount of time the app is running. The issue seems random because it can occur in a few days, weeks, or after a month. Sometimes, the wifi is running (and sometimes the dongle will not be active at all) and the app runs past the time frozen on the clock (according to logs generated by the app and generated htop snapshots). The clock will be stuck and peripherals unresponsive (although adb shell date has correct time). The issue is that, seemingly, randomly the devices will freeze at boot at the desktop with a black screen (wallpaper not showing). Magisk is installed to run a cronjob that reboots the device everyday at 2 am. We are using an app that displays a webview with heavy animations 24/7.
